Expect story and conversation. I'll read from Clouded Waters and talk about how I came to write this environmental mystery that echoes struggles many of us are currently experiencing over proposals to mine copper and nickel in Minnesota. In the era of disinformation and fractured understanding, the novel's protagonist seeks truth, family and community. As she balances identities—widowed lover of women, mother, daughter, publisher of a multi-generational, small-town newspaper, and aware inhabitant of this endangered planet—SB Ellingson's story provides plenty of fodder for questions and comments.
